This article shows you a core overview of the Admin Dashboard: smrtPhone Dashboard > Admin Menu (≡).

Overview of Each Section of the Admin Panel:

👥 Departments

Where you can enable users to be divided into specific groups with customized permissions and dedicated caller IDs.

🤵 Users

Where you control who has access to your smrtPhone system. Add/Delete Users and create Teams (e.g. Sales Team or Customer Support) for easier inbound call flow setup.

🔢 Phone Numbers

Manage all phone numbers in your account. In this section, you can buy new numbers and delete ones you no longer want. You can also control which inbound Call Flow each number will ring. (A single number can only ring to one Call Flow created in smrtPhone. One set Call Flow in smrtPhone can be used for many numbers.)

🔁 Call Flows

Set up what happens to inbound calls and inbound Text/MMS to each of your numbers. There are lots of options including IVR, actions for outside business hours, and dialing individuals or teams. This is an essential part of using smrtPhone, even if your flow is very simple. Without setting a call flow for each number, smrtPhone will not know what to do with inbound communication.

You don't want to miss a call or text, so make sure Call Flows are set up.

Set up as many Flows as you want, with as many numbers using a single Flow as you want.

📋 SMS Templates

Customize text messages for later fast use! These templates can be used to save time when you have to send the same SMS for several leads or reasons.

⚙️ Account Settings

Control your core, global settings that impact your business. It's in this section that you control the time zone, which will impact the business hours of your call flows.

🔧 CRM Setup

This is where your CRM-smrtPhone configuration is stored. The Account Owner (and users with permissions) can set this up, often upon first sign-up for smrtPhone. You may want to revisit it if you'd like to change or customize your CRM settings.

Podio Users: Note: If you change the Communications App location, it simply creates a new app - it does not copy over all of the information from the former spot and you will have to manually transfer it.

📲 Caller IDs

Add non-smrtPhone numbers for outbound calling only.

🗺️ Addresses

Some countries and regions require verified addresses to purchase a number. This is where you manage all of your addresses.

✆ Spam Numbers

For any number you would like to block from calling you, add them here. Please note that this has nothing to do with whether your numbers are being labeled as Spam Likely upon outbound calling, this is only a list of numbers you've blocked from contacting you.

📵 DNC Numbers / DNT Numbers

Access Numbers to add or remove from the Do Not Call List. Also, below is the DNT list - a list of phone numbers that should not receive text messages, typically to comply with legal regulations or respect user opt-outs. It helps prevent unwanted or unauthorized messaging.

🔢 Phone Number Type Report

This is a default functionality that helps improve text message compliance and save money on undeliverable text messages to U.S. phone numbers by prohibiting the ability to send SMS to landlines.
