Don't hesitate to reach out! We're happy to help!

Use this guide as a client-facing checklist. It combines the full A2P campaign registration process into one printable document, including campaign details, consent requirements, message samples, webform setup, and ongoing compliance rules.

1. Campaign Description

Start with a short message that explains the nature of your campaign and how it will be used. This tells carriers and reviewers what your messaging program is about.

What you'll need

 1. What you'll be sending

2. Whom you are contacting

3. How they agreed to be contacted

Example

This campaign will be used to keep in touch through [marketing/ informational/ transactional] SMS communications with clients who have previously subscribed to be contacted by us via a webform on our website.

2. How Do You Receive Consent?

Regardless of your campaign type, you must provide a compliant example
of how you collect consent from recipients.

Key Requirement

Consent must be a written agreement showing the recipient was informed of your Terms of Use /Privacy Policy and agreed to receive text messages from your company specifically (not any third party).
The most commonly accepted method by carriers is a webform on your website. See Step 6 below for how to build a compliant webform.

3. Message Flow

Explain how the process of collecting information happens, which means describing the consent method you chose in the previous step.

What you will need

1. How you collect contact information + a valid link to your form
2. Details of your Opt-in message (all required elements are covered in the webform template in Step 6)

4. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy Pages

You are required to provide links to these pages on your website, written specifically for your company.

Don't have these yet?

We've prepared ready-to-use templates for both pages. Customize them with your company details, making sure to keep the required disclaimers (see Important Rules
below). The templates will be provided by the support team separately.

๐Ÿ“‘ Privacy Policy Template, provided separately as a downloadable document
๐Ÿ“‘ Terms of Use Template (SMS Program), provided separately as a downloadable document

5. Message Samples

Carriers expect to see samples of the messages you'll be sending. They must reflect the nature of the use case(s) you selected for your campaign.

What you will need

1. Your Sender ID
2. Opt-out language in every message

6. How to Build a Compliant Contact Webform

A compliant webform is the most widely accepted method for collecting consent for A2P messaging. Here's what yours must include:

โœ“ Fields to be filled out by the end user (at least name and phone number)
โœ“ Opt-in message (see template below)
โœ“ Checkbox for the opt-in consent
โœ“ Submit button
โœ“ Pop-up confirming submission (e.g., Thank you for subscribing!)

Opt-in Message Template

By checking this box, you consent to receive [marketing/informational/transactional] communications from [COMPANY] via SMS messages. Message frequency may vary. We won't share your details with any third parties. Consent is not a condition for any purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP". For assistance, reply with "HELP" or contact us at (888) 888-8888. By providing your details, you acknowledge and agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

7. Important Rules & Compliance

Keep these requirements in mind throughout your campaign to stay compliant with carrier and CTIA guidelines:

๐Ÿ“ง Opt-in required. Never message contacts who haven't explicitly consented via your webform or another compliant method.
๐Ÿšซ Honor opt-outs. Process every STOP request immediately and stop all
messaging to that number.
๐Ÿ”’ No third-party sharing. Consent applies only to your company. Never sell or share collected numbers.
๐Ÿ“œ Terms & Privacy links. Both must be publicly accessible on your website and
referenced at opt-in.
โœ‰๏ธ Include opt-out language. Every message must tell recipients how to stop (e.g.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe).
๐Ÿท๏ธIdentify yourself. Each message must clearly state who is sending it (your
company or brand name).
๐Ÿ“ง No prohibited content. No SHAFT content (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco) or illegal material.
โฑ๏ธ Respect quiet hours. Avoid messaging outside reasonable local hours (generally 8 AM โ€“ 9 PM recipient time).
